FANTASM - A HAUNT AND HORROR CONVENTION - ORLANDO, FL - OCTOBER 11 - 13, 2019

VOLUNTEERING AT FANTASM!

We are on the hunt for amazing volunteers to help FANTASM have an amazing 1st YEAR!

There are three ways to volunteer for FANTASM!
  • Part Time: Selecting specific times online to work at the convention
  • Full Time: Volunteering for a Full Weekend Staff Position
  • Full or Part Time: Volunteering at the door

Part Time or Volunteering at the Door:
  • You must have an account on the FANTASM website to select volunteer hours online.
  • Select work times online or go to the voluneering desk at the convention and sign up on site.
  • You must present a valid ID and be 18 years of age.
  • You must work a minimum of 4 hours per day.
  • To receive credit for your hours, all worked times must be signed off on by a Deparment Manager at the convention.
  • All work will be scheduled by a Deparment Manager at the convention.
  • Please Note: If you do not show up for your scheduled times or fail to work your hours, you may be asked to purchase a normal pass

Full Weekend Staff Position:

By volunteering for a Full Weekend Staff Position, if selected, you will receive the following:
  • A Weekend STAFF Pass
  • Access to any VIP events
  • Possible free pictures and signatures with guests. (Depending on guests time and approval)
We need Full Time Staff for all of the following positions:

CELEBRITY ASSISTANT:
  • You will be respnsible for making sure Celebrity Guests are properly looked after and that they get to their scheduled, panel items, as well as making sure they get time to eat etc. The Guests are there to help the members have a good time, the Guest Liaison is there to make sure the Guests are needs are looked after and making sure their visit meets expectations.
SECURITY:
  • You will be responsible for checking wristbands and vendor badges to ensure everyone is wearing either a badge or a wristband. If someone is missing a wristband you will direct them to the registration desk. As part of the role you will also be responsible for keeping track of the people entering and exiting each room in order to ensure we don't go over capacity in any room.
FACILITIES & OPERATIONS
  • Load-in/load-out: pretty much what it sounds like - you'll get a workout, but it's one of the most important parts of the convention!
REGISTRATION:
  • You will be responsible for taking tickets and issuing the correct wristband as well as making change for door sales.
FLOATER or SPARE:
  • We require floaters in case someone doesn't show up for the shift or if we need help in a certain area. If not busy you will be assisting in various tasks during your shift
